The SSA Total Ag Rugby program provides high-performance coaching and training opportunities to up-skill athletes and assist them in progressing to higher representation within the sport of Rugby.

The SSA Rugby program is endorsed by the Brumbies; the program provides development opportunities for athletes in areas of technical skill, education, strength & conditioning and personal development, preparing athletes for the next level of elite sport representation.

The 2026 Rugby Program will run from October 2025 to April 2026. Athletes from this program will graduate at the 2026 Presentation Evening in mid-2026

Southern Sports Academy athletes come together at least twice a month to receive the best and most professional coaching available in the area.

The program will provide coaching, training, and athletic development to improve athletes with a view to:

• Develop the fundamental skill level of athletes, which will enhance their opportunities for selection into Brumbies Representative Teams;
• Prepare athletes to a level where their transition to any Brumbies Team is ‘seamless’ in terms of programs or pathways;
• Increase the level of success of those athletes at competitions and events in rugby competitions nationwide
