Southern Sports Academy (SSA) are delighted to announce the new Hockey Squad for the 2019/20 program together with a coaching team set to be one of the most experienced and qualified in the state.
The SSA program will support athletes between the age of 15 and 18 years to progress through the athlete pathway and be given the support they need to progress to the next level.
The program will operate across three regional satellites based in Wagga, Albury and Griffith on a weekly basis, with combined central squad sessions hosted once a month (Starting on Fri 15th November – Induction Camp)
The purpose of the hockey program is to:
- Provide an environment for the athletes to develop and progress on the pathway in their home location
- Give access to quality services and programs as they progress through the Hockey Pathway
- Prepare athletes for the 2020 Hockey season
- Provide a coach education program for Regional Academy coaches, with the support of Hockey NSW Coaching Network
