INDIGENOUS TALENT PROGRAM

Southern Sports Academy is excited to offer once again the Indigenous Talent Identification program with support from Underwriting Agencies Australia (UAA).

The second annual Talent ID Day will be held on Tuesday, 25th July 2023; please complete the REGISTRATION FORM by Friday, 21st July 2023, if you want to participate in the day.

What to Wear: School sports uniform with running shoes.

What to Bring: Water bottle and some snacks for the day. Lunch will be provided.

Cost: FREE

How to register: please complete the REGISTRATION FORM by Friday, 21st July

The program is open to both males and females that turn 13, 14,15 or 16 years of age in 2023

Be living or attending school in the SSA catchment area (please refer to the list below)

Endorsed by the school and/or sporting association with whom you are attending or representing

It is a ‘first of its kind’ opportunity, with the Aboriginal &Torres Strait Islander Talent ID Day designed to:

-Advance opportunities in sport
-Develop a platform for athletes to be introduced to & identified in multiple sports
-Play or participate in sport-specific skills in a fun atmosphere
-Showcase skills in front of coaches who are of the highest quality and well-versed in talent identification

Those identified will be offered the opportunity to advance to funded scholarship positions with SSA Scholarship programs.
