It’s been a big week for many of the Academy’s athletes!
Firstly, AWD Athlete Indiana Cooper headed to the Australian Track and Field Championships where she competed in the para U17 female 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m winning Gold in each event. Indi also showed great improvement by achieving a PB in 200m, 400m, 800m and the U17 Australian Record for the 200m and 400m. Well done Indi, we are all very proud of you and can’t wait to see what your next achievement will be.
SSA Cyclist, Rebel Brooker successfully defended her Under-19 Women’s state criterium title, winning in a bunch sprint. Congrats Rebel from all of us.
Lastly, the annual ClubsNSW Academy Games returned this year and we had over 70 athletes head north to compete at the games. Athletes competed in Basketball, Golf, Hockey and Netball with some great results all round. It’s so good to see sports back on throughout the state and our athletes had a great time on their trip away.
